A few months ago I reached out to racers and companies I knew, in order to see if anyone would donate some raffle prizes for a very good cause. The reason being that two years ago in Europe, we lost two brothers in the Netherlands to cancer.
They were the cornerstone of their local club and were sorely missed. So to remember them as they would have wanted to be, it was decided that this years iMBRA European League race just outside of Amsterdam would be held in their honor.A Special raffle and shops were run to raise money that would be donated to the Dutch Cancer Trust, and their family and friend would be giving the winners their trophies.
Well the great news is that the raffle alone, in which both Martin and Al very kindly donated prizes, raised a massive $1600.
From a personal level I wanted to thank these amazing people for stepping up and making a great event even better. Hopefully I'll be able to thank you personally Martin in the future, but Al, I'll definitely be looking after you when you come over to the iMBRA World Championships in August.
See you soon,
Martin
