I bought a Mac 67 sight unseen, It is brand new.

But its got a black head instead of the blue ones i see around.

Is this an older version?

I want to use it in a rigger for heat racing.

Thanks Mike

Coincidently the MAC really is a MDS (Thats the translation from Russian)

interesting engine sorta copied off old Picco engines.... will work OK on a rigger but dont expect your knees to knock driving it....

Maybe the water jackets are black now. I had heard somewhere that the 21's had black water jackets?

Jay I dont think thats the case. This engine is kinda cheap looking

Not like the Macs I have seen.

Thanks for the Info.

Mike

That will be the last thing I buy on flea-bay.

The secret to buying on ebay is to know what your looking for. Research and watch several similar items. Don't buy the first one you see.

the macs are cmb. :( is there another mac motor out there? i know of mds airplane motors.

p.s., hehe, sounds like Bob's been burned at one point :D

if you fleebay long enough, it's inevitable. It's a gamble. I just got a 1&5/8" crown air stapler for $40 shipped that seemed like a super cheap price, then I got a central pneumatic catalog in the mail the very next day with the same exact gun for $20. bummer. Who would have thought you could get an air stapler that shoots staples over 1&1/4" length for $20 retail. some little chinaman making $1 a day must have built it. amazing.

That is the Russian MAC 21. It is not MDS. That Russian MAC line has been around for many years, way more than my MAC brand. I have an old MAC .15 which was built by the same guy.

The quaility of the Russian MAC 21 pictured is low. I have owned one of those in the past.

All of my MACs currently have blue heads. Outboard head is black.
