Mac 45 how hot is hot

I have been messing with the mac in the super sport 45

see the thread Sport & Scale Hydro Forum

It sound like Feed it a bunch of fuel and mess with the water to get it HOT

sooo How hot is hot

you touch it and its hot after 4-5 sec hot

you touch it and your hand comes off now hot

you have the word "MAC burned into you hand hot

and what are good ways to pinch off the water line

If you go to a hardware store you can get a small water restricter valve that they use for refrigerators. Looks like a small round PVC ring with a bolt in the center. Run the line through it and turn the knob as tight as you want.

If you ask Andy, he'll say not to restrict the water on a MAC. I used to on my Picco but on the MAC, it slows it down.

If you insist on reducing the water, buy 3 extra fittings and using a #53 drill. drill a hole in the flat of the fitting. On the second, drill a hole in 2 flats and on the third, drill 3. Each one will let some of the water spill ofer the side instead of going to the motor.

3 sec hot is hot.

Just use an old needle valve or go the easy route and put a wire tie on the line.

Just use an old needle valve or go the easy route and put a wire tie on the line.

If you have trouble drilling a hole in a water fitting, I don't see how you can possibly get a boat running. It's about as simple as it gets.

The advantage to using this method is that it does not get blocked as easily as a restricting method.
