Hi Guys,

I picked this engine up used over a year ago originally setup for car racing, modified by Andy Brown. I've since converted it for marine use with a water jacket, 180* header and flywheel from ZippKits. It will be going int a Microburst Mono.

I was wondering if anyone had run one of these as an inboard and what carb, pipe, plug, head clearance etc...you had good luck with.

Any info is appreciated, thanks,

Brian

Brian,

We ran that engine set up in a MicroBurst. Was fastest (54 mph) with the black O.B. carb, 60% nitro, X440/3, K&B HP plug, .008" H.C., We used the 21 parabolic pipe. The OPS pipe would also be good for that engine in a mono.

I've also got a new sg Mac crank and back plate if your interested for a spare. 60.00 shipped for it.

I just converted one but I have to find a starter flywheel with the insert also.

It does as long as you have the marine crank. If you have an SG crank a cheap and easy choice is the setup from Zippkits. Thats what Im using. I've seen people modify NR flywheels and normal collets to work on the SG cranks but for like 20 bucks from zippkits your good to go.
