Ron, Thanks for doing this..

Do you have specs and instruction sheets for the boat kits?

Thanks

Grim
Glad to do it Grim. Its been a long time since these world champion boats were kept in stock. Hoping to really give tunnels a much needed shot in the arm. Carl provided complete setup instructions that I am providing with every Lynx tunnel sold.

I also have a brand new Leecraft XT460 Tommy built for me many years ago that still has his instruction sheets and bill of sale rolled up in the cowling. I am providing copies of his original setup instructions with these tunnels.

Thanks Lohring. Here is a copy of the original setup instructions Tommy used to include with every purchase. These instructions still work well today, with one exception. The stronger Novarossi setups require the CG to be further forward. Start at 9 but dont be surprised to find out that closer to 10 from the rear of the sponsons works the best. The same props work today as Tommy suggested. Lynx cut works well. Others are also having a lot of success with the new line of ABC props from Jim. Thanks.

Thats almost funny to read now, Not reccomended for modified motors

And here we are in 2017 strapping NovaRossi .67s to the back of these things

I know. Amazing how far we have come with tunnel power Brandon. The key is weight. Weight is your friend when running tunnels. Set the CG, then add weight right on the CG to your liking and you are ready to go....

Oooh! That red XT 460 is giving me GAS! (Gear acquisition syndrome) Both of my former XT 460’s where painted HOK apple red kandy.

Larry,

The red/white version is very popular and are selling faster than I can keep them in stock.

Carl is working on TABOO setup instructions and radio box details so I will be posting soon.

Complete TABOO setup instructions and radio box assy instructioms now available to all that purchase this new tunnel.

Ron, Will you be offering the setup and build instructions for down load?

Thanks

Grim
Grim,

I am sending the setup instructions to customers for all of the boats and radio box kits I sell, including the one for the Leecraft XT 460 that you were so kind to help revamp to fit the current times and engines. Thank you again for your help on that project.

Robert,

The Lynx makes a great stock 3.5 tunnel boat and in the hands of someone who can read the boat well, it can also make an excellent modified 3.5cc tunnel boat. The Taboo is a little larger than the Lynx and takes advantage of a new aerodynamics package that helps to stabilize the boat a little better at the higher speeds. I have had quite a few customers who have said that they are happy with their Taboo set up as a stock configuration (engines with no expansion chamber).  The Lynx design is approaching 20 years old now and with over 500 models sold over the years it is still winning races as they just did at the 2018 NAMBA Nationals where the Lynx finished First Second and Third in the Mod 3.5cc class. The Lynx and Taboo are both great boats for the 3.5cc classes.

-Carl
