My wife has family in Davis, Ca that I don't get along with. I told her I would take her up there in the motor home, but I want to take some boats with me so I don't have to mingle with them.

I have 5 new boats that need to get some run time on them.

Fremont is 90 miles away. If there's nothing closer, then I guess that's where I'll go.

Fremont is not really an option unless you are a mountain climber. The water level is down close to 45 to 50 feet due to construction. I have been running there for practice but it is not easy by any means. The retrieval boat is too hard to get into the water so I have an electric on hand for retrievals. The water level is supposed to be back up late Nov. or Dec. so all will be good for next year.

if you strike out with options and you are up to it I could meet with you on Sat or Sun and we can give it a go

You can always try running in the river........ There are a bunch of spots around woodland (north of Davis) where the sac river is easily accessible by a frontage road. Water is pretty smooth, you just have to watch out for real boats passing through.

I would run there if desperate.
