Would longer trim tabs work better or would adding weight to the front of the hull be better! Both would add drag in some way, Right ?

James, as John has said, you're not going to get far away from the 30% balance point. However, since none of this is really known for this particular boat you are building, it is a good idea to go with what you know ( in this case it is the set-up for the Twincraft ). And yes, both of the above would add drag to the hull; longer tabs would add drag at the REAR of the hull, and weight up front would add drag to the front of the hull ( make the boat run "wetter".............NOT good! ). Only way to see if this particular boats likes/dislikes all of the above is to go out and TEST!
