Before I put time and money into making a kit available, I would like to know if anyone would be interested first.

Kits would be as follows:

Laser cut Lightning, boom tubs, motor mount, turn fin spar. $80 (shipped in USA)

Laser cut Lightning, boom tubs, motor mount, turn fin spar and cowl. $100 (shipped in USA)

Your feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks, Tim

I might have a interest but not sure if I'll have the time to build it myself..... I will also need very detailed instructions or I will be calling you every 5 minutes:)

I hope to see you at the TCMBC pond this year. You can also see one or two of them running.

I'd sure like to try building one. I really like the boat and would like the to be able to build one from scratch. The stepped sponsons make me a little nervous though. Would the foam be cut to the stepped shape in the kit? Something about the shape of the Lightning and it's rear sponsons and the cowl that really appeals to me. It really rocks too - fun stable fast little boat. Even is rough water.

Glenn, The sponsons would be laser cut to a stepped design, however you could very easily just sand out the step and make a nice radius. Its up to you, but Mark did allot of testing at the pond and the steps really helped.

Thanks for the kind words, Tim

Trying to find someone to cut foam. We are working on it. If you know of anyone let me know! Then we will have to write an instruction manual and they will be off. The manual may take awhile, are spelling sucks.

I will see what he says... He is pretty good with it and can cut just about anything with it... He even built the computer program for it, so you just need to come up with the measurments and he can program it in... I asked him about Carbon fiber and he said not a problem!!!!
