Throw a 1.5 battery in the boat & hook it to the glow plug Harness...... NO PERFORMANCE GAIN........ Works for radical motors that you need to get into the water that are blubbering Rich on the stand........ Waste of time if looking for more performance.......

Check Jim Wilson, he swears by it on his 21 boats and I think nobody would argue with his results, his motors are heavily modified and he does run them rich to build the power he does and the 1.5 volt battery keeps the glow plug lit and doing what it's supposed to, at least that's the stories Jim has shared with me and others.

Works real good for SAW slowing way down and turning around, or engines that are hard to keep running on the stand. Dont expect more mph

I support this unit so I'm also interested in the testing.

Also made for twins as well.

Tim

Now with 5 amps of built in power. Over 1.5 hours of glow power. The Super Mcd466 & Mcd464 were designed for Single Cylinder Engines on Airplanes, Helicopters, Boats, and Cars for starting and maintaining idle at low throttle. You can parallel the On Board Glow Driver with your throttle servo using a "Y" cord for automatic "ON" operation at low throttle settings (set-point is fully adjustable) OR it may be operated manually through an auxiliary switched channel. The external Deans charge jack will allow you to charge the unit overnight using the AC Charger provided. A remote L.E.D. indicator lets you know when the glow plug is turned "ON". It can be mounted on the instrument panel or any convenient place to monitor the glow plug operation. The Mcd466 is optically coupled internally to eliminate any possibility of RFI from the engine linkages or wiring. The Mcd466 is AM-FM-PCM and 2.4GHz compatible.

The system includes:
*Assembled Electronics.
*NiMH batteries (inside plastic box for protection).
*Glow plug harness (Leads are 15". Leads may be shortened but NOT LENGTHENED).
*AC Charger (with the Model Mcd466).
*Weight is 3.5 oz. including batteries.
*Dimensions: 2 1/4" x 2 3/8" x 11/16

Looks good Ken, let is know how it works. Did you wire it directly to a battery or through the receiver?
I'm going right to the receiver that way I can run really rich and will help keep the plug hot.
takes fuel to make power just got to be able to burn it

This is the unit I have. Since it has a voltage regulator and wide range of input voltage. I actually use them in my starter box works great for that. Got them a year back for 2.50 a piece just need the 5$ boot from Amain...

Apparently I can't paste anymore with this new work computer

I might also just hook up a single Nihm also and try that.
