Here's a couple of vid's of Nitrotoys running the Tide Cat

First vid is under 6mg while the second is under 4mg.. I have a few others right now, but need to find a place to put them.. One is over 10mg.. Might need to cut that one down a bit..

Gas Bouy 1

Gas Bouy 2

And before Tom can reply, yep, if our boats were running better that day, we might have joined you in the Bouy club!!!!

Good vids, LOL always get it on vid when i do something wrong, not all the other lap after lap of just running.

I think the bouys were moving to be honest.

Maybe a neighbor there didnt like the noise and there ghost was moving them.

Just like the boats stoping dead right out front, everyone thought it was weeds.

:p :p :p **** wouldnt be a fun run without some good action shots.

LOL About your boats running, Was taking jabs at you. ;) ;)

Tom

Ok, got those two and two more moved over to imagestation.....

Here is Don's .12 rigger running in rough water...

Don's .12 rigger

Same run for Don against Tom's gas Cat...

Cat vs Rigger

The first is under 7mg and the last is under 11mg..

Sorry for those on dialup.. I'm in the same boat at home.. Hopefully work is not watching me upload these to the web :D

I can't seem to open these vids or post any of mine. I just put a vid of nitrotoys gas cat and riptide running together on http://www.rcflix.com under the name of Don T but I have no idea of how to bring them over here. Sure could use some help!

Don :(

Don,

I was just able to open up one of mine. You will need to right click, then "Save As".. Once the file is downloaded to your 'puter, then just open and play.

To post a link, use the " http:// " tag or use ALT & H... You will need to know the URL address of the file downloaded to RCFLIX.. Paste that into the URL window..

Hope this helps...

Don,

What propeller were you running? If you can share the information?

Your boat looks good on the water, and I like the thrust cone a lot coming

off the back of your boat. Boaters this is a great roostertail.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Props-4-U

Sure Mark:

I agree with you on the roostertail. You want them long and low.

The prop is a 1640-cup 3.4" from Andy Brown. I sent him some pictures and info on the boat and this is what he came up with. However, the rear of the Riptide is a little different than most. It's actually modeled after our 20 year old Crapshooters before we had flex shafts. It is not the same prop as in the following picture.

Don ;)

Thanks Wade:

I've just got to learn more about this puter!

Don ;)

P.S. What battery works well for a 12 volt starter. (Hobbico)

Clay:

That's a Hughey S/S blade rudder that I had on an old 20 boat. I machined the bracket to fit it on my mini mill. I'm pretty sure you can still buy that rudder on some of the electric web sites. If I were to make another bracket I would probably mount it to the side of the transom so it could kick up.

Don ;)

Another Angle, ( Fullers sells this blade for 10.00) Mine is cut down.

Don, Interesting how the leading blade edge is ahead of the pivot pin.

Gill Brazil sent me a pic of SS kitchen knife blades cut to size for rudder blades. I'm gonna try one out using a shear bolt type bracket. Thx B)
