where can I get a new connecting rod and piston for a k&b 3.5 ?

Alot of us "older boaters" have K&B parts laying around. K&B did not offer the piston separately,but many of us have them left over. The problem with the piston is getting one that fits your cylinder. K&B wasn't well known for their consistency.

Bob is right.....just putting a K&B piston in your sleeve, any of the following can happen:

1. the piston will go all the way throught the sleeve

2. the piston will only go about 1/8" into the bottom of the sleeve

3. infinite points in between 1 and 2

If it were me, I'd choose to go with the piston and sleeve matched set

Charley, that sounds like a good deal. I just blew the rear end in my pickup and it is taking my boat money plus :angry: to get it going again. I'll contact you when I get caught up again.
