Hey guys Im new here but been running gas boats for some years now. I just bought a Topspeed 2 and a O.S. XM .21 from a guy and would like to get some info on set up and thing I might over look. I dont have the boat in my posetion yet but I know I will need a prop and wanted to see if I could run a tuned pipe instead of a stock one. Also sites that cary parts for tunnels and outboards will help as well. Fuel is another question what should I run as far as nitro. What is the average speed on these boats. As you can see Im new to all this but am really excited to start the build. Let me know if I can answer any questions to help.

Thanks Ryan

hey, ryan, welcome to iw ! if you were to search both here & on rcu for ts2, you'll find a wealth of info about set up. i have found that they like the motor lower than most tunnels, about 1/8" above the sponsons - or less. start with an octura x-440, maybe a prather 215 ( if you can find one), or aquacraft's grimracer 40X53. if you aren't getting the manual with the boat, go the aquacraft's site & download it. lots of good info on setup there. enjoy tunnels, keep us posted.

Nitro% depends on your budget and the motor setup. Is the XM stock? The timing on the stock OS sleeve is a little low to do a pipe much good. Nitro from 30~50% should be OK for playing.

Rayn, The plastic prop that comes with the motor works pretty darn good. In fact my son tried all of my props, and it was the best one for his TS2 and OS combo.
