Hey Gang....I was wondering if anyone has any info on JG props. I have a H27 and was wondering if I could use it on a sport 40. Thanks in advance!!!

You may want to have a look at Dumas' web site... H-27

BTW- what's the general opinion of the old JG props... I've got several myself.

When we ran Dumas u-1 boats we ran the ri27, a x450 OCTURA should be a better start

Thanks Duane....I got the pitch and diameter from the Dumas site. Now all I have to do is compare the figures with other props that work. I'm just starting to fool around with props. Thanks for the info and God bless!

Hey Mikey....I tried an X450 early on with a CMB45RS in a Dumas sport 40 and it did not seem to like it. I am going to try one next time out because I found out last weekend that I was running way too rich on the low speed adj. Some nucklehead on IW told me to put 3 glow plug washers under the low speed screw, tighten it down, and forget about it. I am running below sea level but I can't see someone else being able to do that and still run good. Every time I let off, the boat would chug around a little and then die. Run wide open and God bless! Jim

I have a whole box of about 15 JG props in a old box in the shop and thats where they will stay, They were released in the 70,s and were not that great then they were intended as a fully submerged drive system like the old Dumas deep vee,s, Northwinds and SK Daddles. Not really intended for the way modern boats are set up. Could bring a scale Chris Craft to life! Greg
