I want to make JAE90/101 outriggers.

What thickness of plywood should I use for the manufacture of the hull?

This is my first boat of that variety and any advice will be welcome.

Tub sides 3/16" or 1/4" (I use only 1/4"), bulkheads 1/4", tub bottom 1/8", tub top 1/16". Remember the 90/100/1.01 engine put HUGE stresses on the boat and you must build it to last more than 1-2 years. Anything less will cause undue flexing while running especially in the turns when is critical to keep the boat aligned properly.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you have any specific instructions for building a solid?

What should I especially watch?

I found a beautiful example of the construction of this boat. Is this procedure OK?

Koban,

The building method that Gil has in his instructions are excellent. His boats run very well. If you follow them, you should do fine.

What do you recommend for making metal turnfin?

I have a problem with the purchase of high quality aluminum for example. 2 mm 7075-T6.

We can not be purchased. Maybe some of you such a piece of aluminum to sell?

Applied to stainless steel 1.5 mm thick.

I would ask Dick Tyndall or Charles Perdue for a turnfin for that boat as I hear from others.

Where can I find Dick Tyndall and Charles Perdue?
hey bro, i am one of the few guys running and testing the 90/101 boat and so far the best turnfin is the gas one from zipkits.buy one and try it,i can hang on any bouy. i need to buy one and send it to dick tindall for a template and have one made out of stronger material. dick is on here under "el zoro". mike.

Hi Koban thanks for your kind comment on my site and YES stick to the Zipp turn fin and your boat will turn on a dime.I've been running this boat for few months and you will be pleased to see her performance with a bigblock.

Did you ever get this boat tacked up Koban? Doing a 101 twin just trying to get some ideas.
