I have a JAE21G2 Kit and I am about to glue the stuffing tube in the hull but I need to know does this hull have a Strut Extention block or not. I am running 21 Nitro by the way. The plans show an extention block but I do not have one in the kit. Seems easy enough to make but I do not have the thickness it needs to be.I did get the strut with the front extention on it and now I see Rod says to take that off. Then set it up. Or am I mistaken. Any help would be great.

Whether you need to extend the strut all depends on the specific strut you are using. Have you seen this thread?

It shows where the strut needs to be. Do what ever it takes to get the strut positioned as shown in this thread.

Yes I did see this, and I am still a little confused. The wooden extention block glued to the rear of the transom is custom for each boat? Also I do have the Strut with the bullet nose front piece extention on it does this come off?

Not sure if the block is suppose to come with the kit, but yes the thickness will all depend on which strut you have. The JAE is unique with the center ski and the need for the strut to rest on top of the bottom sheet of the center ski. If the strut is not spaced correctly you will not be able to get the strut low enough and also parallel with the tub.

Maybe post a picture showing what your question is with your strut.

Art, If you are referring to page 18 , bottom pic. Only If have a strut, like that pic ,There are 2 struts that Joe has in that kit, new& old. I had to re-drill my strut, cut off some of the taper ,add my bearings after the re drill watch out for bearing out of line .You'll need a vice to press bearings back in
