Gents:

I'm building a GAE21 from plans and there is no mention about

how much overhang to leave on the rear of the sponsons.

Any info on this would be of great help.

Thanks to all

1/8 to 1/4 is fine, if your wood for the bottom sheating is thin like 1/32 i would stay close to 1/8 if its thicker you can go a little more..as long as you have some overhang your good to go..

For some reason, one of mine turned out a little longer than the other but it was an easy fix. I did this little trick also to match the sponson tips. I ran 2 disposable ink pens (Bic or Write Bros. work fine)through the sponson rod tubes to match them up. It eally helped in sanding the tips and the overhangs so they're as identical as possible.
