We have resolved the "fin issue" with the JAE Gas Rigger.

The new fin was designed to be less sensitive to adjustment, while retaining the awesome "JAE" handling.

The revised fin is shortened 1 inch from the top.

This is easily accomplished by making new holes an inch lower than the existing ones, and cutting the top 1 inch off the fin.

Our fin was only sharpened on the right side.

We also found that the fin needs to be thinned where the leading edge meets the bottom (see drawing).

If you look at the fin from the front, you will see where this needs to be done.

If you purchased a JAE Gas Outrigger kit and are not comfortable cutting your fin, we will send the revised fin at no charge to you.

Please contact us at [email protected] or Toll Free (866) 922-9477

Hello Joe,

Thanks for this info and I have no problem doing the mods to the fin myself, but please have a look at the photo below and confirm where I need to drill the new mounting holes. Thanks also for the replacement instruction manual for the Gas rigger that I got via Gerald. I hope to launch the rigger this Saturday if I can complete the fin mods in time !

Best regards,

Wennie.

Wennie,

The red dots are the ones. Everything else looks good.

Don't forget to thin the blade where the leading edge meets the bottom...
