I had Brad build me up a JAE to accomadate a OPS 90. set up with 5" rails and carbon over balsa ply for the sides. Was a chore to get a mount idea in my head to get the engine as low in the hull as possible. Made the mount out of a block of 3/4" square stock. Here's the first few pictures of the engine install.

Why not Thomas plus if I don`t like it can put a small case 90 into it. Also I have 5 OPS 90`s laying around doing nothing. Gary contact Brad Nichols he is on this site. I`m sure he`d build you a cowl to your specs if asked.

Cool! Thanks for sharing!

Always good to see something different, and those OPS 90's are so cool!

Oh man you are going to like this set up. What third needle are you going to use the OS9B is super on this motor . What pipe are you going to run the black heads are hard on couplers its a must to run the header coolers. The parabolic AB pipes scream on this motor at 11.5" it should kill a 1667 w/7cup and burn up the course with a H31 . Is that the motor that sold on Ebay ? There are some upgrades Got Nitro take to Dave there's are new modded piston and knife edged rod that are big improvements . When you get it up and going would you post a video.

Cool pass ya later Charlie

I have a K remote needle for it. I make my own header set ups from billet aluminum so m the coupler burning is no longer a issue. Will be running a Muck or Rossi pipe. I have run them both on my EAGLE and they both work excellent the Rossi is just quieter. I run H50, 1667 H49 etc. from Mark S. and the eagle is stupid quick. I have had these engines for some time 10+ years and have modified them myself. I have replaced the rods ad yes they are the new design.

I would be interested in two pair of them if you would interested in making them. And did you do a small stinger on the muck pipe. Or if you have the older headers I would buy them. I need two thanks Charlie

I'll take pictures of the header set up on my SG. I'll need the ID of the pipe to make it slide inside. I run the stock stinger size and I use a slip on muffler and it keeps the pressure up great. I also make my own 360 brass head buttons. Those made the most difference in how these engines run. Lets me keep the heat in the head to help burn all that fuel these engines blow up into them.

Good thing the engine isn't any longer or the bay would need to be longer. Will have to keep that in mind for the next time, but it look's like a KILLER, oh did I say that? Gary I made a mold for the cowl and the add on air ducts if you are interested? You can send an e-mail to [email protected] or PM me.

Any pics yet and how's the build going.

cool, 1st time ive seen an ops 90 with twin plug set up
I built and sold a few dozen of the dual plug heads for the OPS 90's during the late 80's.

OPS 90 Big Block is still a great engine!
are you still making them? I could be interested in one if you can supply the ops "head" as well, the 90 is a great engine, I had one highly modified plus an aeromarine carb 24 yrs ago, nothing could touch it in the cat racing, the bad side to it was vibration! " out of balance" engine/crank? I was told ( unless they were trying to sell me a cmb) exhaust header bolts snapped, carb adaptor bolts snapped, replaced with larger bolts an all was ok, I just repalced bearings very regular, only difference now is it has a cb marine carb, just going to try it after all these yrs, if it works I will replace bearings, get a a/m or bvm mixture control and a decent carb if the cb don't work, the sullivan 16oz tank just disintergrated after I tapped it, engine at time was running lean when I started it so air leak somewhere

but it doesn't show the cost when you register.
Ray talk to Dave at gotnitro.com he is the US distribution dealer . Although I haven't ordered a new one yet the new parts I've ordered are already modded a bit from the factory. If you are looking for a deal keep checking out ebay. And Andy does a super modd job on the older ones he did the ones in my twin and dialed in running low 90s with the older version. Pass ya later Charles
