Ok guys I just purchased my winter build project just wondering what you guys are doing to make this thing better...let me know what you think...should I make the rear booms adjustable or should I just mount em solid....Thanks

Buoys love to snap boom tubes. Right sponson needs hardwood blocks inside. All the stress is on them 2 brass boom tube clamps They will pull out if not.secured. Turn fin needs to bolt all the way thew the sponson. no screws .Boom tube clams will slide so I add 2 sets on the left side.

take a piece of brass sheet & cut plates that will go between the inner sheeting & foam. punch a hole for the brass tube, solder the tube to the sheet you cut, then assemble as per instructions. to pull loose, it will need to remove the entire inner sheeting. no issues on mine, 3 years of hard crashes........

We put balsa blocks in the sponsons where the brass tubes are and flared the end of the brass tube and have yet to have one move. As long as you do something more than just glueing the brass in the foam you will be fine. I have tossed around the idea of making the tubes adjustable but the boats work so well with standard setup I dont see the need.

John you also need to micro glass the transome motor compartment inside and outside and around your turn fin sponson it will keep the seems from splitting . Depending on driving skills and motor choice the CMB VAC 45 SWEET killing speed the novarossi 46DD with a 2316 prop will kill but the vac is more managable the rossi is harder to manage through traffic. both are best with a 1657 prop have fun later Charlie
