Finally had a chance to do some decent testing this morning with my JAE 21 .

The boat was built for me by David Preusse exactly to the plans , it is dead straight and very well built.

The boat weighs in at just under four pounds RTR.

I tested with a stock 1450 , modified NovaRossi and the Woods S-pipe.

Boat is very impressive , tracked dead straight , accelerates through the turns and is very easy to drive.

I would guess that it was running high sixties to low seventies at best but with some prop changes I expect mid seventies for heat racing without any problem.

One thing that impressed me the most this morning was when the winds started to pick up I was still able to run the boat hard , I have owned a number of 21 riggers over the years and none of them

would have been able to race in that water.

Thanks to David for building me a great little boat for a very reasonable price and thanks to everyone involved from desighning to selling the kit at a price that is very affordable.

Cant wait to spend some more time testing , great little boat.

Tim,

I think you will like the H-7 or a 1452 w/H-7 profile next to test.

Good Luck Testing,

Nice boats aren't they?

H-7 is going on the boat next time out as well as a couple others , 1452 hmmm.

Ron get out of my head , I can't afford you LOL.

Well so far the H-7 seems to be working the best for me , still have a few more things to try before the water gets hard.

The boat is realy starting to come alive now and is very consistent , can't wait for next season , look out R.J.

Tim,

Work with a 50 x 69 or the 1452 reduced, once you get them dialed in you

will give Ron and others all that they can handle. I just received a test

version JAE-21 and I am going through a couple of dozen propellers to see

what it really likes. Lots of testing with great feedback is what it takes

to get the set up OPTIMIZED. How short of pipe do you have on it now?

What does Martin T., David P., Ron Z. use and recommend? Seems like they've put in many hours of test time already.

Pipe is just under three inches , started playing with 50/69 as well but they were set up for Franks boat and were a little to much for my motor.

I know what props are recomended for the boat but I need to try everything out for myself , just they way I am I guess LOL.

Besides you never know when your going to find something special that everyone else may haved missed and testing is fun.
