Tim,

We have run a variety of propellers on Martin's boat.

H-7,1450,1518/3,50x69,S-15, just to name a few.

The boat is very forgiving with different

set ups. This week Martin will be trying another bunch of

test propellers: H-6 and more 1450's his favorite.

We are trying quite a few combinations and we have

not really hit the best one yet on Martin's set up, but now

he has a lighter version JAE-21T to get ready to test. :D

It will be interesting to see what the lighter boat and

slightly different design will like on the water. I hope

this gives you some idea on what to try on yours if you

are building one? :D We are currently working on some newer

profiles that are working rather well on a different set up.

Boaters,

Updated:1450 reduced,profiled,and cupped up.

H-7 was AWESOME today in testing, modified profile.

Thanks For Reading,

Mark Sholund

"I know Kentley was running an "Ozspec X-447" custom on his boat

last week, but the boat seems to like just about anything

you put on it."

Mark,

"I know" is a big statement. An once again you are wrong!

Tim,

The fastest prop for this boat I have found is a Andy Brown C/D 1450 for MY setup. I tried the H7, H6, 1816,1818,1814 1716,1718,ect. All these props worked but were not as efficient. The prop I got from Aaron at Ozspec was the quickest prop.

So when are you guys going to tell the truth about the water in your pond ?

I know that you made Don drain all the water out and fill it with club soda and thats why you guys are going so fast or was it J.D. ?

Thanks Tim.

We have found that adding several thousand tons of salt works well for us. Might have to try the club soda trick next weekend. :D

What seems to be the best prop for the JAE .12 boat?

I want to hear from guys who actually own and run a JAE.

Thanks,

Andy

P.S. Great job on those new records Kently!

Versions of reduced 1440(65mph ish) for oval racing,v937(72mph ish) for SAW. These are real numbers with a rear exhaust 3 or 5 port Nova liner raised .030 and a .280 Black K&B carb, several pipes tested.Andy, call Rod for anything else,he has ALL data documented.

Just to add to Rons comments....the last batch of Glenns NR .12's came with good [180-128] timing numbers...If you got one of those motors you do not need the .030" shim...

What would be a good Octura prop for breaking in a 5-port nova rossi on a JAE 21?

Thanks.

Andy, I've got that CNC'ed prop that you made up for me sitting on my boat now plus a few others to try. It looks like these are spinning bigger ones than I thought that they would with the Nova Rossi's. I won't know until spring though as we're going to be getting the white stuff starting in the next few days.

White stuff huh! I have a few friends that are DEA agents you know LOL!

Question what is the head timing on the 3 port NR and what is the biggest difference between the 5 port and 3 port? I might buy the 5 port and build a second water cooled hull...

Tell them to bring a plow then! :D We've got 1-4 inches showing up starting any time now as I just checked the radar.
