Here are a few pics of my boat that I have been working on for the past few weeks. I am going to be on vacation at my lake house next week and can't wait to try it out. This is the first rigger that I have ever built and I am sure that I have done a few things wrong but that is part of the learning experience. I only have a few more things left to do before it will be ready to toss in the water. I would like to thank everybody that gave me advise and that supplied me with the things I needed to complete my build.

Looks great to me. Pretty hard to mess up the JAE!! That's part of the beauty of the boat. My 21 runs great. Where are you located?

good lookin' build, john. all i can say is hold on & good luck wiping the grin off your face. these boats run fantastic, i love mine. you gonna be at the wtc? if so, stop by & say hi, just look for the petty blue boats B) .

John..... Nice Looking Outrigger :) I like the engine cowl cover...did you make it? Is that a 4 cell battery box in the picture? I would take it out & use a battery pack or make one...the battery box may give you trouble down the road of water. I would put a hole in your radio box lid & use tape to cover the hole...this is a window for seeing any condensation build up or maybe water getting in your radio box..if it is just condensation then just pull the tape off the hole & it will relieve the condensation...if you see water droplets on the tape...you may have water in your radio box. Good Luck & have Fun!

Sweet! Love the paint job. Now all you need are some Napa stickers. Maybe Martin Truex can help you out.

Thanks for the kind words everybody. I am really looking forward to getting it on the water. I just have to remember to be patient during the break in. Yes, I am planning on attending the WTC. Went a few years ago and really enjoyed watching all of the action. I got the cowl from Tamalito (on intl waters) and just trimmed it to fit. I definitely will keep an eye on the moisture in the radio box. Great idea using tape over the hole to check for condensation. Will keep that in mind. Not sure how to get in touch with Martin Truex for those decals..... Scott, you should love it here. You may have to hook up with the Charleston Boat Modelers when you get here.

Great looking and you will be nicely surprised with the GO ENGINE in this hull.

Good boating

Gill
