Alden,

Looks better finished than just sitting in my basement.

Two 90 degree water fittings, one on the pipe and one on the

rudder, and she will be all set to go run some other boats down. :D

Glad Santa came early this year. :D

Nice Job,

Mark Sholund

thanks guy's,,, im happy with the way it came out... cant wait to get it wet,,,still have to break in the engine,,slow process but it will give me time to learn the way the boat handles...

i like that 90* fitting idea mark... :D

Alden , Could you take a few pics of the rudder and radio box . I would like to see how you mounted them .

Thanks , Jeff

no prob jeff.. i mounted the rudder dead nuts center far right.. was gonna set it up top against the deck,,but them darn triangle pieces put the kabosh on that idea....

here is a pic of the radio box and how i mounted the rx pack and servos.. i used the hs 81's,,and a aaa 6v flat pack...oh ya and tactic rx,,small and no antenna tube,,,just how i like it... :D

Make sure you put some zipties on the fuel/ water tubing so they won't come off. You can also use little peices of lg fuel tubing stretched over the tubing to keep it from slipping off.

Good luck with her!! :D

well got to hit the water yesterday....hmmmmm,,,i believe i have found a new love for riggers....lol....i have had zero luck with any style rigger,,,and i have to say that this ones first toss went off with out a hitch.... it launched every single time i tossed it,,, and ran around effortlessly every time....i did however forget to charge my rx pack,,,and well lets just say i was disappointed that my day ended cause of that....im very happy with it for sure....

Alden,

What propellers did you run? 1440B/C, X-442 reduced,40 x 53B/C ?

Hope your feeling better.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

mark,,, i ran the 1440 bc,,,and that was it sir....seemed to perform very well...the engine is in the break in process so it wasnt smokin fast but she was rippin....

alden

thanks guys...

mark,, i do have a 442,,,well...im perdy sure i do... when you say 40x53 are you talkin the abc line??? i would assume you are???

it sure did seem to swing the 1440 bc very easy even sloppy rich...

Alden,

The X- 442B/C needs to be reduced to aprox. 37mm, and the 1440B/C needs to be pitched up more.

The speed will pick up once you break-in the piston and sleeve.

Have Fun,

Mark Sholund

Alden and Others,

Just another JAE -12 update on propellers that work very well on this little Hydro.

Octura Y-536 has been recently tested to 58 MPH on a test pond in Fenton, Michigan.

While the reduced X-442 B/C has been clocked at 60 MPH even. Just passing on

some hard testing data. :D I will have some for sale next week if interested.

Thanks For Reading,

Mark Sholund

Martin,

Do you care to share some of your latest testing results?

These are very accurate for a stock Topp 12 motor in a slightly heavy

JAE-12 Hydro. Question for you? Anyone making the lightweight 12 S.A.W. boat yet?

I am pretty sure 85 to 90 MPH is achievable very soon.

Thanks For Reading And Sharing Your Accurate Results, :D
