Friends, I have some special aircooled heads coming in that should not required mods for you guys that don't want to run water pickups on your boats. I have ordered 5 sets (the head takes a special head button) and the price should be around $35 - $40.

This is a picture of the head, but it sits on the marine head button a little higher (the edge of the head button actually shows).

As I think of a cowl design, if there was liberal front venting how much would have to be exposed to the outside air. Trying to get the carb covered but not choke it out.Would a similar size hole above it vent off enough heat?

It doesn't take a whole lot of air intake to get adequate cooling if your air exit is big enough. You may just have to play with it a bit.
