Jul needs to make a few changes to Jackski and we'll get true action shots with Jack riding it. Yankee, my boxer, wants to be the retriever. However, won't go too deep. Always has to have paws on lake floor bed.

Now to see a cat on a cat would be cool!

That's Jul Alvarez's dog Jack. We finished the "Jackski" at the Hobart race about 3 or 4 years ago and he took his first ride on it there but in the dark. I had some of those glow in the dark necklaces and we decorated it with them.

He also has his own gas RC quad.

As a side-note, Tony Castronovo from Warehouse Hobbies blew the dust off the mold to make that hull. It wasn't a big seller as only 13 of them were made before it went on the shelf.

Mark, good to see you on line again! If you ever get back up this way, We've got another place to run in Saranac, www.walterrcpark.com .

Ron,

Jul updated the boat, I believe, since you saw it back then. He now has a 1/5 scale brushless motor in Jackski. He needs to figure out a better way to connect the motor to the jet pump. Hope to make the trip back home in the coming years. New place looks like RC paradise...

It was brushless when he built it. We hooked up a servo connected to the rudder so that the handlebar would move when it turned but maybe have been too weak when Jack had his paws on it.

That dog was a babe magnet at the race! The Hobart lake is on a linear park that's really popular with the dog walkers. They've got a lot of fine ladies there. He beat out John Otto that year in Open OB tunnel in a run-off. John blew off the water in the back straight.

Did he have the 1/5 scale brushless in it back then? Thought maybe he had a 540 can at first. I saw the boat shortly after he received it, but it was not setup at that time. Then i dropped off the face of the earth. Yea, that motor/pipe he ran against John was mine. Tried to sell it here, but no one wanted it at the price I was asking. Jul took it, made no changes, didn't even change the bearings, and now he has a green jacket

That DPI in the pic is his. He's setting it up with another 11cc. He's thinking of putting a gas OB on it. I think he's nuts.. Good luck! I'm in the process of putting together a 11cc on an Areotech. Should be out soon.

You are right, the babes love Jack....
