SAW Trials, DO YOU NEED A MUFFLER?

I like his adjustable pipe mount in the back.

Them fins off the sponsons, is that for drag? to keep front down?

I see a trend towards the "birdhead" frontal sponson shape on straightaway boats. Reminds me of Donald Campbell's Bluebird jet boat from the 1950's. The more things change the more they stay the same!

The same rules apply in NAMBA SAW as in heat racing. 95 db with the meter set back 50 feet from the shore. The rules are in place to be used and enforced. Whether there was a measuring device there or not at the site, I do not know.

I will say this. At Legg Lake where the SAW's are run, it would be very very difficult for a boat to ever be over the limit.

Thats the new J&G Pipe he was running, there not on the market yet, so no one really seen them unless you were there at the trails.

Pipe should be on market soon.
