To all current IMPBA members please take the time to vote, I just finished voting on the IMPBA website, took all of about 2 minutes. If you cannot vote on the website please take the time to get your ballots to your district director. Also as per the recommendation made by the BOD that appeared in the September Roostertail (page 9) and also below, I strongly urge all to vote NO to #14-005: Constitutional Amendment as this proposal is NOT in the best interest of the IMPBA. The BOD was UNANIMOUSLY AGAINST this proposal when submitted and we still feel that way-
Recommendation of the Board:
The Board of Directors unanimously recommends that this proposal be voted down by the
membership. They believe this change would make it difficult to fill the position of secretary if spouses,
family members, or blood relatives of voting or non-voting members of the board are excluded as
candidates. Furthermore, the secretary position is a non-voting position, does not advise the Board,
and would be removed by the Executive Board if issues of non-performance arose.
