IMPBA D12 high points standings

Points standings for IMPBA D12 are now online. If you think there is an error in the standings, please send an EMAIL to me and Don Ferrette. We'll look into it and get back to you with what we find.

Also online is a page showing the companies who have helped out with sponsoring races. If I have missed any, please send me an email.

I have begun a page for 1/8 Scales and Thunderboats. If you are running in one of these classes, please send me the information I listed at the bottom of the page so I can add your boat(s).

And finally, I'd like to get some pictures in the gallery. I've collected some pictures over the last couple years, that I'll add sometime in the next week or two, but if you have some you would like to have added to the D12 picture gallery, please email them to me.

A question came up about scoring for the high points series. The points you receive are not those that you finished a race with. Instead, you get points based on your position. Section G of the IMPBA rule book shows the points, which I copied below. Note that there are no points below 9th place.

1st Place 400 points

2nd Place 300 points

3rd Place 225 points

4th Place 169 points

5th Place 127 points

6th Place 96 points

7th Place 72 points

8th Place 54 points

9th Place 40 points

Only a couple classes are locked up, the rest will come down to the last race. So get your entries in. In LSG Cat the top 7 places are separated by less than 200 points. The top 3 for LSG stock are within 6 points. And "Mr A Game" said he's going to give me a whipping in F Hydro! There's going to be some "heated" racing in these and other classes at Haggerstown!!!

You better put a big bow on that first place trophy I gift wrapped to you at the ODMBA race thanks to that clump of weedy crap floating on the back straight that I found with my F hydro in the last round. When we get to Hagerstown it's be time to up the nitro, lean the needle & then drive it like I stole it.

Seriously though, there are only a couple classes locked up & a few will be an all out slug fest like stock gas in which 1st - 3rd are separated by a mere 6 points, Open Nitro Mono with 1st - 3rd by just 177 points and B o/b Tunnel 1st - 3rd by only 75 points! If hurricane Hanna stays on the current projected course it'll mean even more rain for Hagerstown at week's end, the pond is already higher up than it's been in years I'm told. Maybe this year there won't be people draggin' rudder blades when they go wide off 4, 5 & 6.
