I.P. Address blocked

Is it possible for the admin. here to please look into why my I.P. address is blocked.

I believe we have 2-3 people blocked right now. I believe it has something to do with our recent operating system upgrade. I've simply been working too much overtime to fix it. I'm greatfull for the extra hours. I'll get it fixed ASAP.

What did you guys do to get blocked?

It is odd that both of you seem to advanced users and you both got blocked. Most people don't even know what a proxy server is. You guys both seem to know about them though....

I was replying to a PM when I realized it wouldn't send through. I closed up and went to reopen using the same desktop icon I always use and it wouldn't even go at all. It would give you a message like you didn't have a internet connection

or www.intlwaters.com didn't exist.

I had no idea what a proxy server was till this week trying to find a way back in. It is not easy unless you are a member of one of those services. Don't know what they do but I guess it uses it's own server or random I.P.'s to get you through.

It is a half hour ordeal to get back on each time and nearly impossible to use because of the ads and junk popping up and video's playing because it is a trial version.  Sure am missing the extra reading material here.

Can't get to my profile or PM's with it either.

I was just editing one of my for sale post and noticed it would not save it and there was a note at top saying something like you are not allowed to use that file extension on this community.I guess maybe it was refering possible to the tini-pic link in the post that was already thereit was not what I was editing or adding but it is all I can figure it was talking about. It would not save it. Do you think it is automatically blocking us because of those picture links?

I do believe it is this forbidden "image extension" thing is what is automatically blocking peoples I.P.'s

You don't even have to be adding one. If you even open and edit a post containing one when you go to save it it blocks your I.P.

Try the following in this order and see if it helps:

1- Go to your browser settings and delete all history and cookies.

2- Unplug your cable modem and router (if you have one)

3- power up the cable modem

4- power up the router (if you have one)

5- Open your Windows Command Prompt window and enter the following:

ipconfig /release (hit enter)

ipconfig /renew (hit enter)

Close the command prompt window and try going back to IW. These steps will clear your browser and grab another IP address from your internet service. Let me know if it works for you......

I was posting a link. I tried the same thing twice from two different locations and had the same issue. I'll try it again in my next post to see if I get blocked again.

Thank you for the info but it is continually blocking every I.P. I get on with.

I tried it and did get on for about 10 seconds but disconnected then blocked also then I found those proxy servers on a Internet search that allowed me on a little longer till I tried to edit a for sale post.

Even using those servers to get on and it was blocking them one after the next.

I`am also currently Block from My Primary IP Address at home....... This just happened since feb 21st ..... YOU NEED to look at the Last IP address the person posted from.......... Not the one In your profile. It could be a ole IP address??? ........jw

Well Att tech says the International Waters DNS Server is Not Working Properly. She wanted to Know what Port I/W was trying to Stream Thru?????????

It's not the dns server. It something called modsec. It blocks suspicious activity by denying your ip address. I don't know why it is acting up. I'll have to get our host involved.

Its in your OS. Tom make sure youve updated windows to the latest service packs first then go from there you may be able to see if you can PING there ip's and see if you get a signal back from the dos prompt. In the future you could have stayed with your old OS dont get suckered in by bill (making all the money ) gates.

I can access the site from work, but at home i have the same problem as others that the site is blocked.

One of three IP addresses I normally use is still blocked. One other has been unblocked.
