I never thought I’d be saying this: ;D No offence intended for TT owners ;)

I’m in need of a Thunder tiger Outboard. Apparently these outboards are on backorder with all distributors. If the powerhead is blown, I can still use it. The PTO and Lower Unit are really what I’m interested in for a “Frankenstein” project of mine. Please post or contact me via E-mail if we can do business.

Thanks,

Kevin

Mr. Geraghty,

Now I really know this thing will fly, if it has some of your parts in it :)

how much $ did want, to part with it?

I suppose you'll be taking credit for this too if it works ;D

Lets see?? If I would take that hopped up Saito 45 and a aluminum mount and make a gear to fit up ??!!!! :- ;D

Has anyone paid any attention to the price that Tower Hobbies is driving up ?? 189.99 was 179.95-169.95 - 159.95 - 149.95 a place in N.C. 144.95.

WHAT GIVES ??!!!!?? With these people ??

Next they will have the price up there at 249.95 to replace the OS !!!!!

Kevin,

I might be able to help with some of the lower unit parts if needed - I still have some new spares from when I was running TT's a few years back. I think your project will work if you use the reduction gears and a bigger prop on it.

Tim.

Waterbug,

Who was that in N.C. that had them listed for 145? (they will get a call from me today) That’s my kind of price  . Unfortunately for us, there is more demand than there is supply in boat equipment, so the result is price goes up because some people are willing to pay it. > :(

That’s one of the reasons I’m working on this Frankenstein project. There are plenty of manufacturers out there pumping equipment into the buggy market which has the net result of keeping prices in check. There are many inexpensive buggy engines that have a better output than the 3.5ss or the rossi powerheads right off the shelf (parts are availabl too). My thoughts are that if I can get a simple (relatively inexpensive) combination to put out like a ss or a rossi others will do the same.

I welcome any thoughts from others that may want to chime in. :D

It's at http://www.abc-rc-hobby.com/

What you say is true !!! But in some cases all you need are the piston and sleeves, headbutton, rods. You can use them in outboards that are produced now, such as the discontinued one, if you get my drift ??
