One thing that really stood out a this event is the difference between Fast Electrics and GAS and Nitro boats.
Ed and Dee Hughey were setting records left and right and a couple of times thier boats would trip and literally go under water and get stuck in the mudd and unlike nitro or Gas boats when these eventually popped up they would keep on running and ED and Dee would bring them on back in alive. Really something to see. Kind of hard for the timing lights to catch them when they went under the water! :lol:
