Well bought these hummingbirds from Bill Zawada and Walt Barney April this year and now we have painted them today to give them a fresh look.

Red boat had a Mac 21, brass headbutton, Bouchie billet pipe and Sholund 1445 and 1450. Blue boat has a Whiddon Mod Novarossi 35 plus with a Short S Pipe and a Sholund ABC H7.

Will be assembling the blue hummer tomorrow then off to the speed shop For set up ;-)

I like the blue one
Thanks guys I'm glad you guys like it. Walt that used to be your boat gave it a blue metallic paint job with faded metallic grey and Bill I repainted the sponsons and cowlings in red. It did not come out show room perfect but better that what it was before.

How's that Bouchie billet pipe run , have you tried one on the 35 plus?
The Bouchie pipe is a monster on the Mac runs perfect. I'm talking to Scott about making a wrap around billet pipe for the 35 plus. These pipe are some beast and you engine will run like you never seen it before I guarantee you that Shane.

Julian,

Great looking boats, I have a two B humming birds. Just like running them. (*¿*)

Jullian, I take it the brass head button works well. If you'd likje any changes let me know as I've been in the shop building away.

MY hummingbird ran very good thanks to Joe Warren on the boat set up and Chris Grimm worked the propeller it was humming really well brass headbutton and Scott Bouchie pipe. Ran it with a 1445 that was given to me by Doc Tuner worked my Grimm. Can't wait to get my Sholund props in the mail for the hummer.

Glad to see Chris come thru at Huntsville. He helped with the prop a ton......... the fronts still need some more angle of attack in them But the boat is Down on the water and running well.

glad to have some of the best boaters help out and get a boat running good. thats what i love about the hobby

Julian, Mike Larson on this site has a lot of experience with the .21 Hummingbirds. He may have a few tips to share on dialing them in.

Julian,

4.3 degrees on the right and 4.1 degrees on the left worked very well

when I ran those hulls. They work very well on a R/R also, you just need

to run your strut a little deeper in the back of the boat. This helps with propeller

efficiency anyways. Try these numbers and I bet you will be in the upper 70's

with that Awesome Bouchie Pipe. If your boat set up is too tight on the water

you should shim the front boom tube up just a little bit. This is the best way to

fine tune your hydro IMHO.

Thanks For Reading,

Mark Sholund

Yes and agreed with you mark. joe and Grimm did lower the strutt and raised the front sponsons up it just need alittle more angle if attack and add a shim to the turn fin then it should be good. Then we can test some more propeller on this Thursday.
