i want to build an inboard boat from scratch (nitro) i would be driving on a very calm lake and i wanted to get some oppinions on what the fastest hull designs are , handling is no biggie since there are practicaly no waves and the lake is very open. if u have any kind of plans for a good design i would appreciate u posting them. thanks

outrigger hydros are by far the fastest type of boat on calm water, you should get a Hammerhead .12 kit when they come out [very soon now i think]. it seems like it would be cheaper to build your own from scratch but it's really not, you should go with a kit. then again if it's your first boat, it would probably be a better idea to get a mono, tunnel, or catamaran which are easier to handle then hydros. try sticking around and waiting till someone sells a boat in the "for sale" section.
