Bob,

Go out to www.imbpa.net or www.namba.com.. Both orgs have information on how to start a club and the questions you ask..

Bob,

You can also contact Grimracer on this forum. He is the Outboard director for IMPBA. I'm sure he will add a comment or two here shortly.

Bob,

I'm over to the left of you in Traverse City. I could help you out if you would like.

I have been looking to start a new club up here in the north. We have about 6 or

8 tunnel racers here in TC. It is a lot of work to put on a race though, you should

of came down to the race in Saginaw last weekend it was GREAT.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Bob,

looks like Mark is going to take care of you on this..

Do your home work up front.

take time to plan the race.

And ask for help if you need it.

Mark,

Please take the time to take this task on for the rest of us boat racers.. it sounds like you are close. Remember the benifits to your area and rest of us is huge.

LETS RACE

GO BOB..

Mark,

Remember that in two years you can plan to add another two racers (6 boats) to your races. Even though we won't be in the same IMPBA district it looks like we'll be in the same NAMBA district.

Mark would be the man to help you out, he has a little experience with this stuff like working with the Ford Model Boat Club and a thing called the 2003 IMPBA Internats! :D

The IMPBA also has a packet that they can send you that has all of the paperwork that you need to get sanctioned.

Thanks guys i will keep you posted.Between my dad and i we have a 3.5-7.5 and a 11cc tunnel,Plus a 3.5cc outboard vee and a 7.5 cc outboard rigger. We put the stock outboard race on and it was sanctioned by the APBA and your right it is alot of work but its worth it.I definatly want to bring the nitro burners to town next year.
