Why is it

We are discouraged from judging ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.
We seem to always hear about how Social Security is running out of money yet we never hear about the welfare or food stamp program running out of money. The first group worked for their money yet the second group did not.

We are cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our military, and cutting our Army to a level lower than before WW2 but we are still giving money and benefits to ILLEGAL aliens.

Is our country really that f'ed up. ???

Andy,

We have only one clear choice........ Not Hillary. Everything you pointed out, and much more, is going to get far worse if we allow another four years of Obamanation. Especially if we lose conservative control of congress. The SCOTUS will be lost for a generation.

Thanks. Brad.

I agree. Choice 3. Don't vote. Can you amagine what would happen. Lol it would throw everything into a tail spin. But you know there would always be one that feels they truly are making a difference and would do it anyway

Oh well not much we can do in this day and age

Sit back and watch I suppose

If Trump wins the presidential election we will not have to worry about all of the other petty politics....we will all be nuclear ash.

I would rather go to an insane asylum , choose anyone and give them the nuclear launch codes than for Trump to get them. At the least, with someone from the asylum, we may have a chance.

Do not get me wrong, I am not for Hillary either. I just do not think that Bill would let her start a nuclear war. If that happens, it is estimated that at least 150 million people will die instantly, the rest will take a little longer.

After that, everything else is irrelevant.

Think about it......

Charles,

The President is one of four people entitled to those launch codes, all four of which must be present to initiate a launch, and any one of which can LEGALLY refuse to participate. Those launch codes are no more likely to be problematic in Trump's possession than in yours or mine. Please don't fall for these kinds of scare tactics. They are being used to divert the attention of the thinking class from the realities we are going to face in the next 4-8 years.

I can't say as Trump would have been my first choice for a conservative option, but I can't come up with anybody I'd want less than Shillary. Truth be told, I'd vote for Johnson if it weren't at least a half vote for "The Thing from Arkansas". There's only one candidate in position to prevent her from getting into the Oval Office. If you're not throwing in your support for THAT candidate, you're clearing her path. This goes for those choosing NOT to vote, as well.

Two famous quotes:

"If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice."

"Bad officials are most often elected by those who do not vote."

Thanks. Brad.

Mr. Brad, I know what the legal procedures are for using the launch codes. BUT, I also know that legal procedures, or any procedures for that matter, are not always followed when a decision has to be made very suddenly.

Considering the consequences, do you really want it to come down to that, to take that chance????? Just because you do not like someone....

I DON'T. I AM A REALIST.

Never mind the politics, ANYONE ELSE except Trump would be a safer bet....Even Joe Crap, the rag man.

I am through, lets talk boats, engines, races or anything else.

IT IS F UP.......................................................

It needs to change at the top first............................

Some one with nothing to gain and nothing to lose....................

Self made and not on any ones pay role.....................

Every one that has a free ride hates them.................

Wonder WHO that is......................LOL

Go clean house Donald you got my VOTE................

What do we have to lose..................NOTHING........................

It's the lesser of three evils this time around:

You vote for "the Donald", you vote for someone that's unpredictable

You vote for "Lying Hillary", you vote for someone that's already lied to everyone and shown very poor judgement with classified information.

You vote for "the other guy" and you don't know what you're going to get since his radio spots refer to him as "Governor" but never says from what state.

It's going to be interesting to see how this all plays out but I think Clinton would be my last choice as I don't trust her due to her record in offices she's held since Bill ended his term

For those of you not wanting to vote when someone gets in you dont like and you dont like there ways you have no voice Do Not Complain, vote the better one out of the two which is Trump but yet if you want to see the United States worse then it is not vote for Killary

I don't agree with the "if you don't vote, you have no right to complain" argument. I'll complain all I want about repeatedly being expected to make "Sophie's Choice" (google it.)

If for one minute you think that either of them or anyone else that could or would be nominated for prez for that matter cares what the general public thinks u need to rethink things

Just my opinion

Jim,

You have no right to complain about what's for dinner if you don't speak up when the question arises. The same goes for Election Day. If you don't like either one, then vote against the one you want the least. Plain and simple, you're gonna get on or the other. You might as well throw your weight into it however you can.

Shower thoughts.......

Sadly, the Left only had two options to choose from. It was an interesting run they both put into it. One of them had been doomed to fall short since the other had left the White House the first time. Both garnered fewer primary votes than any Democratic candidate in the history of the party. The Right had SIXTEEN to choose from initially. One of them got more primary votes than any other Republican candidate in the history of the party, in the same election cycle we had more options than ever before. I'd say the "general public" has spoken. Think about Argentina, Venezuela and the USSR. Which one is promoting policy that leads toward these examples, and which one's policies lead us away from them? I can tell you that my primary concern in this election is in defending the Supreme Court.

Chris,

I don't really care if either of them cares about what the general public thinks. It's not their job to make us happy. That's our job. Their job is to promote/nurture/advocate/create an environment that gives the most people the most opportunity for advancement. It is most people's opinion that both are after the job for reasons of personal gain. I can't say I disagree with that. One thing I can say, though, with absolute certainty, is that one candidate stands to make a lot more money than the other if the economy improves, and is thus far more motivated to make that happen. If that candidate gets wealthier along with the rest of the country, who loses?

Thanks. Brad.

i don't disagree brad.. but the issue remains.. the government no longer works for the people.. we work for the government.. and if you think it is bad now.. look back at history and the pattern in other country's that run on dictator ship and government dependence..

if anyone for one minute thinks that is where we are not headed you better dig your head out of the sand.

oh, can i get my free cellphone first though before that happens........................

Chris,

No, you may not. Unfortunately for you, you were taught the value of working for a living, so you are no longer entitled to any of that gravy train stuff the other half of the country are. Sorry.

Every dictatorship planted its roots in promising its people everything they would need and all they could hope for, if they'd only give them the power to do so. Almost half the country is currently voting in this direction.

I may be a dreamer, but I still believe in what our Framers designed for us. I am holding out hope that it will prove itself a self righting system, so long as the people demand it so. We are definitely at a tipping point, or very close to it. We've definitely been slipping in the wrong direction for several decades now, faster at times than at others, and it is for sure time to change the guard. In the end, the Supreme Court holds the key. If we lose the SC, we will likely succumb to the socialist/communist policy that led to the collapse of the USSR, and Argentina and Venezuela to where they are today. Defend the SC, and there is hope.

Thanks. Brad.
