Hi all sorry about all this but its another idea that has been suggested. I have been talkin to club members about a limited class i wanted to set up a cat hull with an outboard as i wanted to do something different.

And what was suggested is since the cat wont perform well with an outboard the said you could get a tunnel hull and get it built with a custom cat style cowling which will give me pretty close to what i want but still work well with the outboard.

As im trying to have something unique and customised to my style while trying to conform which is a hard thing to do you but as i said hopefuuly this will give me the perfect starting point.

I was thinking of getting a stiletto or similar without the cowling and going from there any help or thoughts or suggestions would be great cheers.

The Stiletto is a very heavy hull. Get hold of Dan Hutchinson. He has a new FE Cobra hull that should be just the ticket. http://www.intlwaters.com/index.php?showtopic=44661&st=0&p=401833entry401833. Also the VS-1 and the Woodstuff hulls are a better choice than the Stiletto. I have all four and like the Woodstuff the best (sorry Dan). It is also the most expensive and hardest to get. Be careful with the cowling shape because it is a part of the aerodynamics that makes a tunnel work. The picture is of my unpainted VS-1.
