this is the setup i got with my sgx:

For actually bottom AOA. Set the left at about 2.5 degrees and the right at about 3.0 degrees. I take my measurement at 3.5" forward of the step.

Set the both sponsons 5.25" out from the tub.

Bottom of tub at the engine is 5/8" off the surface. That seems close by the current school of thought, but the .45 SGX continues to win many of the major races, with good handling and speed in all water conditions.
