Hi all - trying to go over settings for my CMD 45 SGX. If anyone can provide the critical/correct settings I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Ron,

Shoot Andy or Donna a email at [email protected] that might be able send you the set up sheet.

If not im sure someone will chim in that has the 45.

Mine runs well at no shims under sponson booms , strut as far down as the Shoe will permit , no angle, flat . Try H-18 , 1655 . I'll take a pic later for you .

Ron,

1655 @4.29" of cup,H-18 @4.50" of cup, or 1457 @4.29" of cup.

They all work very well on that set up.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Ron, in this order-1- lay a straight edge on the bottom of center shoe and bring bottom of strut flat against the straight edge so it follows the line of the shoe and lock it down.

2- set the boat (with turn fin removed) on a flat and level set up board and using a digital level measuring on top of sponsons between boom tubes, set the left (non turn fin side) sponson at zero to positive (sponson tip up) +1/4 (.25)degree and the right sponson at positive +1/2 (.5) degree.

3- install turn fin and sighting across bottom of tub make sure lines on fin are parallel to the bottom.

4- get a raw 1655 and send it to Andy Brown, have him set it @ 4.3" (he knows this). I tried lots of different props on my SGX45 and the 1655 Andy did was the premo prop for it by far.

This was the set up on the SGX45 I had and with a stone stock MAC 45 and parabolic pipe it would run rock solid consistent 81-83 on radar in honest heat race conditions set a little on the rich side. :)

Guys - this is what makes this forum so great. What a group of guys. I appreciate the responses, and PM's I received. Very appreciated! :D
