Hi guys,

I have a Dumas Hawk 7.5 kit ready to build this summer. Going strictly with Gary P. recommendations with set up. I will be useing a OPS .45 Drum Valve engine. This will be my first out rigger. I hear nothing but good things about the Hawk kits especially with Gary's updates.

I am going to take my time with the build. I will be back and forth here with some updates and especially some much needed help. I will build the sponsons first and then the tub. My goal is to build as straight and true as possible. The front and rear sponsons will be painted a yellow while the tub will be left the natural wood color and properly sealed in and out. Not sure which hardware I am going with or engine mount. I might have to put a muffler on the pipe to keep the noise down, but I am out only for fun. I plan on having Walt B. from Tanks 2 U build me a stainless tank for this rigger.

This is what I have going for me so far. Just wanted to share this with my fellow brothers.

and by all means, seal the inside of the sponsons.

don't want any water damaging the wood.
