Tony C(UGOT8racing) uses lipos in his twin. Ask him. Don't think he ever looks at the elect. forum.

I use the smaller packs 1300 or so mah for the

reciever and transmitters.

they work just fine.

They look a lot like these batteries. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=10305 I've had great luck with them in the spec classes where current draws are around 100 amps. There are batteries with lower internal resistance, but they cost more.
