Hi Hammer,

Just need some clarification!

From reading all your posts on your .12 rigger this is what I come up with.

Fronts-17mm depth and 4.5 degrees

Rears-11mm depth and about 2.5 + or - 1 degree (This does not include the 2mm brace between your rears!)

Stuffing tube- 6mm dia., 1.2 degrees and bottom of tube 1mm "above" the running surface of your rears.

Prop- 215

#1- When you say 1mm "above" are you saying shallower or deeper than the rears?

#2- How far back is the front of your drive dog from your transom?

Thanks for all the previous input,

Don :)

Hey Don! Long time no see!

Number 1: If you take a ruler or any flat object, and lay it across the rears parallel to the transom, there will be about a 1mm gap between the ruler and the ruler. Do you understand?

Number2: The leading edge of drive dog is 48mm from the transom.

Hey Don! I wish you would start a thread about your CF balsa lamimated rigger. I really want to see more about it.

Hammer,

I assume you ment a 1mm gap between the ruller and and the stuffing tube. ;D If so I understand!

My new .12 is not really going to be that light. I guess I'm just not a light builder. Every time I pick up a piece of 1/32 or less ply it makes me sick and I go for the 1/16 bin. I do think the 1/8 fg/balsa sides is really a great way to go even on larger boats.

I'll try to get a thread going soon just for laughs. :p

That's what I meant, Don. 1mm between the ruler and the stuffing tube.

If I laugh at your thread, then you have all the right to laugh at mine ;)
