Scott,

Who do you think/know is coming from ODMBA? Need some of their nitro guys to come to make enough to run the classes that I run.

John

I'm hoping a few people enter with sport tunnels. It's been a long time since I raced, never was that good anyway, and this is all I've got running so far. I guess I could try running with the modifieds, but it would be embarrassing for me to be so slow.

I'm also hoping to see lots of nitro there so I can start thinking about what to build next. Anyone going to enter sport 20 or 40 hydro? Let's start getting those apps mailed to Mike, and perhaps posting here so people have a feel for what classes will be there.

Hi John,

They are present on this board. Lets see if they will step up and confirm one way or another whether they are coming. Otherwise, anything I say will just be a Rumor. ;)

Lets hear from ya ODMBA.

Scott,

Keep me plugged in on what you hear that goes from rumor to fact. I am looking hard in going.

Piper Chuck,

I have not seen any sport 20s' around yet. There are a lot of riggers, 20, 40, 60 & F's around as well as the same size mono boats. Bunch of gas boats as well. Not many scales or sport 40's around the region. Also a bunch of tunnels as well, 20's & 40's mostly.

John

John, thanks. Hopefully my 20 tunnel will find some friends.

From what you're telling me if I built a sport 20 I'd be blazing new territory and possibly wasting my time and Sport 40 may not have a not much better outlook. I don't mind being on the bleeding edge, but not if it's hopeless. Is this an area that might grow, or is it going to die on the vine? I'm hoping the answer is that they might grow, because I think these are good classes for newer, or less competitive, racers to get a chance to run hydros.

I've got an OPS .45 that's coming out of an old mono hull. I thought about putting it in a small cat, but couldn't figure out who I'd run it against. Eventually I want to run a hydro, but I'm not ready to run riggers yet, and may never be, so I was hoping to put it in a sport 40.

It sounds like putting it in a mono might be a better idea if I want to be able to race. I just ordered a set of Wild Thing plans. I'd like to build a 20 size Wild Thing and run in B mono. However, I could also enlarge them a bit so I could use it for the OPS 45.

I'm not sure if that's an answer for you or not John. It might just be the makings of another Delete that Ferrette is getting ready to auction off. ;)

Several options for you. You have Dale, Chris and a few others that run only monos here. Frank, Allen, Mike and several others that run mostly or all hydros. I also run only hydros. Gas guys are all around and some from in from Wilmington (Todd, WT, etc). The sport 20 and 40 can run in the hydro classes if desired by are giving up much in speed. But I have seen several very fast sport 40's. But not many running around us. Just have to see where the interest is in your region and consider that closely. If you join in the group of boats that are already running, you would have more opportunity to race.

What devilish laughter you have! You may assume that I do but maybe I don't. I am not especially proficient in doubletalk. I can only guess that you MAY be coming. Is that a fair guess? Will you be alone in coming or is you partner coming as well? Others?

Finch hasn't made up his mind yet.

What are the classes you plan on running? I have not decided myself. John Steltzer entered today.

Will send you a PM. I have a question for you.

20 & F hydro for sure, maybe more. B)

Not really any nitro monos in ODMBA. I'll see if I can't get a few gasers to go.

I hear there's some Hot Shots coming down from Old Dominion Club looking for some good racing too.
I know that ain't me because the only thing I was called was a know-it-all, pompus @$$, moma's boy, etc. I'll come a little south to let those two guys bury the hatchet if they are interested.
Chris, Dale, and Frank have been long time racing buddies of mine and although I was working on hanging up the boats I will be sure to attend.

I am not especially proficient in doubletalk.
Can we split John K. and Ryan in all heats? That way John can use Ryans boat and possibly stay out of the way.   We will still have to figure out a way to speed up his 40.   Did I doubletalk????????????
I sure hope Andy got Don's boat running!   Go ahead and reserve 1st and 2nd 20 hydro for Don and I. Ryan can have 3rd.

Smack it up!

;)
