Got the paint and clear on the whiplash. Nothing special, but it will work for a test/play boat. I am still waiting on a cowl. Might just have to break down and purchase one from blazer marine. Anyhow, here is it:

Then, I figured out what to do with our pool table! You know, the one that sets in the basement since you bought the house, collecting dust and everything else you can throw on it. The one that everyone wants, but knowbody wants to give you any money for. You know, the ones they just want for "free". Well, it didnt cost me a dime, and I now have the flattest, 3 piece slate, 8x4 build table out there. A coat of black paint all the way around, and she will be golden!!

Yes, its a 20 whiplash. Hoping to build one more 20 boat here this summer as I get time. I might even venture into a sport 40, which I said I wouldnt ever do. But Spoon has a 1982 U-8 Executone that I want to build VERY badly!!

looks great, but why did you paint the bottom white for? I'd wouldve left it wood. You dont see the bottom anyway unless you flip it over.

Miss hydro, because the nose has been cut off and replaced. So there was alot of fiberglass and spot putty on the bottom nose area. There is always a reason for doing something :D

ok I didnt know that. I've been learning on my jae just to color some areas and leave the rest wood.. looks good and less weight on these wooden boats. I never cared about those whips cowls accept the gas version. Brian needs to make some new version.. Wished I had a sport20 whip then we can make a new upto date looking cowl for it.

yeppers. Its nothing great. Its just a test boat. Literally, a play boat to test engines/pipe/prop combos. Something to just play with on the weekends, and beat around. If I find something that works hot, I will buy another whip kit down the road.
