Good deal on West Systems

I normally buy WS resin by the quart. I don't use enough to make buying a gallon worth it

Quarts do me a coupla years, I measure it out by the gram. Five grams of 105 and a gram of 206 is usually all i can handle at one time!

I usually use the pumps and mix up a shot of hardener to a shot of resin. Still lasts me, like Terry, for well over two years with a quart of resin

Goes fast when you start building molds but I would rather pay extra and skip the lung melting stench of fiberglass resin and catalyst.

That I can relate to but 'dem are some 'spensive molds!

I my opinion 4 what its worth, west system is not too healthy to breath the fumes from either.

Guys go to Fiberglass Florida web sight. Epoxy Tec 1 1/2 gal kit is $24 It is 2 to 1 mix easy to get the mix right at 2 to 1..... fast, medium or slow activator.

This is WAY better than West Systems stuff and much cheaper.

West Systems has bin over priced for a long time as it is what joe blow gets at the store and it ain't all that.........................

Have used just a little on this build. 5 gal pails at a time........LOL

O and it don't smell at all...........................................

I have used West Systems for years. Not only does it perform well, but the shelf life is great. Mike and I have tried other products and they have performed well but the shelf life was horrible. So any cost savings up front was lost on the shelf. JB

I checked Fiberglass Florida epoxy prices, the 24. price is for a quart kit. 1 and 1/2 gallon kit is $77.00

My bad looked to quick..............LOL still 1 1/2 gal for $77 is a great deal.

A qt. kit is 48oz will take a long time to use that all up on toy boats.

As far a shelf life? Have a bunch left over and its bin in the garage now coming on 3 years. Has not change one bit.
