We got a notice on the door that said the community doesn't allow fireworks :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I'm guessing they are not gonna like my 5,000 roll too much h34r: I dont blow up near as much cool stuff as we used too post 9/11 , but these are a STAPLE and there is no one gonna tell me I CANT The homemade 1/4 and 1/2 sticks we used to get where off the chain :blink:

Ray, I was going to celebrate a bit with the black powder cannon- went to one of the larger gun stores yesterday to buy some cannon fuse and the guy looked at me like I was selling pipe bombs to school children . Called a couple old friends and they said "welcome back to California" :lol: Also noticed gunpowder sales were suspended till Jul 5th--- And these are folks that would cheerfully sell you an assult rifle :angry: . WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? I do not shoot any projectiles out of the cannon- Just pack it with Pyrodex and a small piece of paper towel for a wad- all that comes out is noise and the wad. No matter the little guy is going to bark tonight without fuse h34r: .

Glenn those small cannon's are killer- My brother's buddy had one- one year we wadded a red shop towel and fired it into the dumpster at his work- clear through both sides :huh: :huh: I would HATE to think where the cannon ball we shot off the beach into the gulf went h34r:

Happy 4th to everyone! Next door neighbors invited us over for the annual fireworks war which includes much indulgance of adult beverages which will leed to my once a year(sometimes twice a year if they throw a New Years Eve party)HANGOVER! At least i dont have to worry about a DUI, as long as I can make my way to the front door! :lol: Be safe and enjoy, everyone!

That's why I no longer put projectiles in cannons Andy. 15 years ago I made a couple golf ball cannons(1.75 " bore)- the problem was they would launch a golf ball probably a mile or more. The little guy(.516 bore) has a good bark but no bite. Only problem so far is setting off car alarms

I leave the fireworks to the pros today, but back in the day of strike any were matches we cut the heads off. Rolled them up in foil to softball size and warp in friction tape(very carefully). Throw it like a grenade. My fav was the helicopters :lol:
