Garrett.. This Pipe Legal? IMPBA Legal?

Ok.... going to test pipes. Before I waste my time I want to make sure this pipe would be determined legal. It is a cmd nitro pipe with the stinger location modified. From "earball" measurement it is roughly the same loudness as a ops3280 with a C&D machine muffler.

I just want to know before I spend time with it.

just for clarification.... the normal stinger is plugged.

Hello Tom,

As I understand it from the meeting I was at as long as your not using the rubber elbow thing and your under the DB limit your fine. At least that's my reading of the rule.

well i tested 3 pipes today..... that one was not the best. The fastest one was unreliable. the car pipe was reliable and very quiet..... kinda slow.

got to get a couple more to test out as i'm not really happy with any of them.

Try running a piece of 5/16 brass tubing into your 3280 up to the middle of the pipe, very quiet with no loss of power or extra heat...

I would think that pipe is not IMPBA legal since there is no muffling device. This would be a perfect example of why the IMPBA needs a DB limit. Why should one have to muffle a perfectly good and quiet pipe?
