Hi Mike, I have a 7px now too and have a temp sensor on the center dial it will show current temp at bottom in F but highest temp in the center appears to read in Celsius.
Is this a setting to be changed or a system glitch?

Phil,

Make sure you have the latest update done to the radio.

Go to system menu.. then information.. it should be on ...5.1 (having said this I do not think this is the cause for the issue)

Then make sure you select UNITS in system settings.. (page 179) set to yard pound...

Phil, you’re going to really like the 7PX, I got my 7PXR a month ago been spending time to figure it out. Love the GPS and lap timer/recorder. Put it in my rc Stampede to test GPS it was spot on. Unfortunately Futaba is backordered 4-6 wks on the LiFe 2100 Tx battery. Still like my 3PMX radios, will use them for play boats with grandkids. And thanks to Mike for all the advise!

I loaded the 5.1E ok, didnt fix this,, home screen dial reads F current temp, but Celsius peak temp.
telemetry screen reads current and max temp in F

Just a thought looking at mine, it looks like you have the low temp limit set to 61 F, maybe affecting the peak readout on the dashboard temp gauge, try setting back to the factory defaults? I had a similar situation at work one time setting up a lab growth chamber, the safety limits were out of range of the desired temp, finally figured it out and brought them within allowable range and all was good.

OK Thanks i think I heard of this same deal with the gps on center dial read mph current speeds but kph on peak speed

I’m trying to figure out what some of the differences are between the 7PX and 7 PXR are, at least for boat racing. Is the red 7PXR display background color any easier to view than the 7PX?

Are most of the differences ergonomic differences?

Right now the 7PX is slightly less expensive than the 7PXR. So the question becomes do I need anything that the 7PXR offers.

Phil I see the heat telemetry has a loop to attach around the head,,,
Have you compared readings with the telemetry opposed to a heat gun ?
As Most heat would be at the glowplug area.
