I have this radio in 2.4 and FM ..... i am not sure what ya mean by linear when it comes to the radio.... i will say i run a third channel on my boats and have few different switches i get set as the third channel.... to adjust i have to click 1 at a time or hold the switch in 1 direction and it will go crazy auto clicking for me... =)

Hope i help

like your trim controls on the transmitter.... works the same way.

Linear 3rd channel means that you can move the 3rd servo in small increments. Like we do with a remote needle. Some have a 3rd channel that is just a switch for changing gears in a car or truck.

Tom Levescy,

The 3PM can be set up either way, Linear or switch (on-off)

You can assign different functions to different switches also. Some have there 3rd channel assigned to the + & - buttons on the front of the radio.... this requires you to remove your hand from the steering wheel to adjust (not my cup of tea) I have the 3rd channel assigned to one of the buttons on the handle itself, you can activate the switch (lean or richen) with your thumb.

I refer to it as "the magazine eject button on a pistol"

Hope this helps
