Fuel Tank Placement

I'm building an Aeromarine 44" Avenger cat, and was wondering were is the best place to put the fuel tank? My engine sits 15.5" form the transom,and I was goinng to use a 16oz. main tank with a 2oz. hopper tank. I was told that if it's not placed correctly it will affect the handeling of the boat.

Any help about this will be great!

I was wondering the same thing, so I decided to have some custom made for my cat by Grimracer. They are designed to fit on the inside of the chine and the inner spray rail edge and can be shifted forward and back to change the CG. I'll have them soon.

My set-up instructions are for gas, so I was wondering if anyone was running this type of hull, and if so where are they placing the fuel tanks for a better cg and balance? ???
