About how far can a tank be from the carb?. 14oz tank .45 eng. using pressure from pipe.

Hey Ken,

Try to get the fuel pickup as close to the carb nipple as you can. Same principle as sucking a beer through a straw. Pipe pressure is giving you right at one pound of positive head on your fuel system, so it doesn't much like LONG straws either. Fuel pickup in the lower Port corner of the tank; vent in the Starboard, forward upper corner of the tank works every time.

What hull are you having so much trouble placing a tank into?? CHEERS !!! Bob

I'm building a ML gp400v2. It's designed for FE but can handle a .45. I have the tank on port side. Fuel line will be about 8-9" long unless I rotate the carb so the nipple is closer to the tank.

It should work but you should use med or large line and try to add a 1-2 oz hopper tank nearer the carb/ needle valve.

Use large line and you'll be fine.

Ken, large fuel tubing will help, but unless you have 5/32 fittings on the tank a hopper maybe needed. Only way to tell is runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn itttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.
